1. Statement of Purpose
The purpose of the VAC Japanese Animation Group is to foster
greater understanding and awareness of Japanese culture through
the medium of animation. It is intended to create a forum
for the presentation, discussion and promotion of Japanese
Animation.

Nondiscrimination Policy
The Community College of Ventura (hereafter referred to
as the "College"), in compliance with Titles VI
and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the
Education Amendments of 1972, Sections 503 and 504 of the
rehabilitation act of 1973, the Age Discrimination in Employment
act of 1967, and the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, does
not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin,
religion, sex, handicap, or age in any of its policies,
procedures or practices; or does the College, in compliance
with Section 402 of the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment
Act of 1974, and Section 12940 of the State of California
Government Code, discriminate against any employees or applicants
for employment because they are disabled veterans or veterans
of the Vietnam era, or because of their medical condition
(as defined in Section 12926 of the California Government
Code), their ancestry, or their marital status; nor does
the College discriminate on the basis of citizenship, within
the limits imposed by law or College policy; nor does the
College discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation.
This nondiscrimination policy covers admission, access,
and treatment in University programs and activities, and
application for and treatment in College employment. The
VAC Japanese Animation Group, in adherence to the above
College policy does not discriminate for the purposes of
membership, programs and activities.

Membership Eligibility
Eligibility for membership will be based on an annual membership
fee to be determined by the executive committee. Membership
includes voting privileges (for officers and policy decisions),

Voting Procedures
Election of officers for the next academic year will be
held during the last meeting of the Winter Quarter of the
current academic year. The following officers will be elected:

Operating Procedures
Executive Committee may be called during the academic year
by the President or Vice-President.
Committees may be formed, and any such committee will include
the Vice-President, who will be responsible for coordinating
the actions of the committees and the executive committee.

Organizational Structure
A. The executive committee will be a permanently standing
body. All other committees will be formed on an ad-hoc basis.
There will be weekly general meetings, unless cancelled
by the executive committee.
B. The President will be responsible for the overall coordination
of club functions. The President can call executive committee
meetings.
C. The Vice-President is responsible for organizing and
coordinating the actions of all committees, and will assume
the responsibilities of the President should the President
not be present.
D. The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the financial
records, as well as presenting the records to authorized
College personnel on request.
7.
Financial Policy
The treasurer is responsible for maintaining club financial
records. It is the responsibility of the treasurer to make
such records available to authorized College officials.
8.
Procedures for Constitutional Amendment
The executive committee may, through unanimous vote, alter
the constitution before the first meeting. After such time
all constitutional amendments will be proposed to the Secretary,
and put to a 2/3 vote by members (as defined in Section
3, Membership Policy) before any change can be made.
