ATTENTION
TO ALL INTERESTED IN JAPANESE POP CULTURE AND ANIMATION.

The Ventura Anime Club
invites you to its Japanese Animation Screening--a three hour showing of various television shows and films subtitled by fans.

Japanese animation,
aka anime or Japanimation, is the distinct, often highly detailed style of animation created by Japanese animators.

We typically recognize them as
"those cute characters with oddly large eyes and unnatural shades of hair." Created for children and for adults, the stories told leave no genre untouched from science fiction and horror to drama and comedy.

Through this exhibition
of Japanese animation in Ventura County, the hosting club, Ventura Anime Club, hopes to inspire
animators, storytellers, and filmakers
as well as give people a glimpse of an artform which has been a significant part of Japan's pop culture for the latter half of this century.
